  1. What Kind of Assisted Living is Right For You And Your Family? In 2009, the estimated senior population for the United States was 36.9 million people. Here, a senior is defined as somebody aged 65 or older. By 2030, that number is forecasted to increase to 72.1 million people. That’s about 19% of the entire U.S. population. While many have dreaded the effects that might occur when the boomer generation reaches their autumn years, there are many factors that people have failed to take into account. For starters, the baby boomer generation is generally healthier than perhaps any of its predecessors. Technological advances in health care coupled with a more health conscious society means that many boomers should be able to live on their own and are healthy enough that they don’t require the services of a nursing home. However, no matter how healthy you are, we all age, and aging does restrict our abilities. So should you seek out some kind of assisted living for you, your parent, or a family member? And if so, what kind of assisted living is right for you? Homemaking Today, most seniors want to be able to live in their own home. And that trend is expected to continue. It makes sense; who wouldn’t prefer their own home as opposed to an assisted living facility? But for even the healthiest of seniors, the standard chores that come with maintaining a house can be difficult, and in some cases, dangerous. That’s why we at Executive Care offer homemaking services as part of our assisted living service. Homemaking services offered by our professional and friendly caregivers include vacuuming, laundry, taking out the garbage, grocery shopping, transportation, and meal preparation to name just a few. Even for a fit and healthy senior, all these tasks can be bothersome and exhausting, so seeking out homemaking services as part of an assisted living package makes all the sense in the world. Personal Care Of course, some seniors need some more help than with just a few chores. If you or a loved one are experiencing difficulty managing your bathing and self-care, struggling with incontinence, or trying to follow an exercise program, you may think it is time to move out and move into a nursing home or other manner of assisted living facility. But that’s not necessarily the best option. Executive Care can assign caregivers who can help with all these tasks and more right in the comfort of your or your loved one’s home. Live-in Care No matter how healthy an individual has lived their life, there might well come a time when round-the-clock care is required. Aging is not easy and for many people, if they live long enough, round-the-clock assisted living care will become necessary. But that doesn’t mean moving out of your home and into an assisted living facility is necessary.

  2. Executive Care offers live-in care services from our qualified and dependable live-in caregivers. This is the most complete form of assisted living you can receive and you don’t even have to leave your home to receive it!
