Geography • Geography is a top 10 department in terms of teaching quality. • We house the HEFCE funded Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (Spatial Literacy in Teaching, SPLINT). • 90% of our research was audited to be of international quality (Research Assessment Exercise 2008). • Top 10 rank for the third year running (2006,2007,2008) amongst English Universities in the National Student Survey. 94% of students were satisfied. Ranked top in the Midlands. • Climbed from 9th to 8th in the Guardian and from 30th to 22nd in the IndependentUniversity league tables for Geography.
