  2. Data Set • This data set was created to analyze research networks of the European Framework Programmes FP5 , FP6 and FP7 that Turkey and Germany has a collaborative project. • The time periods are FP5: 1999-2002, FP6: 2002-2006 and FP7:2007-2013. • To generate this data we use European Commission’s Community Research and Development Information Service (CORDIS) webpage.

  3. Data Set • In this context, we seperated the framework programmes three different subgroups as we can see in the table below.

  4. Germany’s share in projects that Turkey took part in FP5 General Overview for FP5 • Between 1999-2002 Turkey took an active part in 74 FP5 projects. • 34 of the projects that Turkey took active part in FP5, are joint projects with Germany.

  5. General Overview for FP5

  6. FP5 • As we can see in the table, in any projects Turkey is a coordinator in FP5 which are joint projects with Germany. Turkey acts as a participant country. • IST, INCO 2 and the EESD programs the number of projects are high that these two country worked together. IST: Information Society, INCO 2: International Cooperation EESD: Energy, environment and sustainable development
