What do these facilities provide? • OchoPasos- Gang prevention and interventions • Discovering Youth- Guiding teenagers through critical times in their lives • Planned Parenthood- Provide care for young teens, teen parents, and women’s health care • Local Mental Health Association- Inform, advocate, and enable access to health sciences to all Americans. They want to achieve victory over mental illness and addictions. • Life Line Utah- Substance abuse, depression, family relationship problems, criminal behavior, school problems, pornography, and other destructive behaviors that prevent youth from being successful and happy. • Road Home- Provides shelter, food, and basic necessities to those in need • Colors of Success- Helps students succeed in school and provides techniques • School Counselor- Provide support and counsel students

  5. What did we accomplish? • Showed students where they could go to get help • Showed students that they are not aloneand everyone needs help • We informed students that there is help • Also that it is okay to ask for help • We put up flyers • Put up posters • Did a survey

  6. What did we learned? • That students feel more helpless than we think • There are many resources to get the help you need • Most students don’t know about these resources • How important it is to inform students that there is help out there

  7. What we learned? • We learned the importance of getting immediate help. If you wait too long, it could be too late. • We learned how many facilities offer help to various problems with open minds, hearts and arms. • We learned it is very important to make students aware of the help that is available to them.
