  3. Eragon/Protagonist • Eragon is the main character of the story • He is a fifteen year old boy • He is a pure-hearted evil extinguisher • Eragon is named after a very famous dragon-rider

  4. King Galbatorix/Antagonist • Not much is mentioned in Eragonabout the king • He is the reason for the struggles that Eragon and Saphira face throughout the story

  5. Brom • Brom is a storyteller of the ancient dragon riders, but he himself is a rider and helps Eragon on his quest

  6. The Ra'zac • The Ra’zac are creatures that work for King Galbatorix and take care of dragon sightings • The Ra’zac are chased by Eragon and Saphira and also chase them

  7. Murtagh • Murtagh is great archer who comes just in the knick of time • He is also a very questionable character, because he is siding with the side that killed his father
