  1. Haven't a clue

  2. “One of the weightiest problems with which the philosophy of education has to cope is the method of keeping a proper balance between the informal and the formal, the incidental and the intentional, modes of education” (Dewey, 2005 P.1)

  3. UGMP VLE ISSUES • Assessment: 10,000 word literature review • 1600 students each trimester • 72 VLE sites to load • Autonomous learning • Final module before NSS

  4. UGMP VLECONSIDERATIONS • Novel mode of learning needed. • Incorporating a motivation spin • Involving effective communication addressing all learning needs. • Streamlining a vast amount of relevant disparate information

  5. Cluedo Pedagogy • Thus the aim was to transform the UGMP into a student-centred learning environment (Gau, 2012). Utilising material that is ‘cognitively rich’ (Gau, 2012, p.8) but was secreted within the complexity of the institution . • The idea was to address learning styles whilst moving from factual or literal learning to interpretive ,analytic and inferential learning. (Gau, 2012)

  6. THE cluedo board

  7. It is the intention of the team to survey this innovation and publish the results. It has already been commended internally and externally. The feedback from students and staff is very positive. Staff find it a useful teaching aide during supervision. Students have found it motivational, inspirational and an exceptionally helpful resource.
