  3. CELLS IN AN ACL INJURY • WHEN AN ACL IS INJURED (STRETCHED OR TORN) ENZYMES ARE RELEASED • CELLS ARE STRETCHED OR TORN PAST THE NORMAL AMOUNT • WOMEN ARE MORE PRONE DUE TO HORMONAL CYCLES
