  5. Your Perspective of You What is your perspective? What glassed do you see out of? What filters do you use? Your perspective could be preventing you from enjoying evangelism or even seeing easy, visible opportunities to win souls for Christ. You may be waiting for the opportunity to scream at you, “Knock on this door” when in reality the knocking is already being done, you just have to open the door.

  10. We need to see people the way God see them . . . LOST

  11. JESUS SAID . . . LUKE 19:10 For the Son of man has come to seek and save the lost. His purpose, the disciples purpose, Our purpose.

  12. Some points regarding evangelism Not your job to convert anyone We are to try and persuade people through and with Biblical evidence. 2 Corinthians 5:11 Our job is to sow the seed what happens to the seed in the heart of the individual is up to them. Matthew 13 Success in evangelism is measured not by how many we baptize, but by how many we teach.

  13. It’s not about you,but for it to work you are needed. Fear is a very debilitating emotion Danger is real But fear is in the imagination They don’t reject you, They reject Jesus Christ

  14. Evangelism is really about Selflessness and the urgent need of the Gospel message 2 Kings 9:3-9 This is a story that illustrates an important evangelism principle. The story begins as Samaria is under siege, and because of this they have no food.

  15. What is most important her at Avondale? • The building • Proper teaching? • People? A study of Jesus and His ministry reveals a strong sensitivity to people. His concern for the welfare of people made Him yearn for them to be save. Matthew 9:36-38 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to the disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

  16. Friendship Evangelism Philemon 6: “I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith.” In Acts 5:20, when the angel released the apostles from jail, they were told, “Go stand in the temple courts and tell the people the full message of this new life.” Yet another example, Priscilla and Aquilla heard Apollos preaching an incomplete gospel. In Acts 18:26, “When Priscilla and Aquilla heard him, they invited him to the house to explained to him the way of God more accurately.

  17. Friendship Evangelism They seek to justify inactivity with the excuse that their relationship with someone is not strong enough yet to mention the gospel. . . . distorted interpretation of Matthew 5:14-16 says that if you live an exemplary Christian life, people will see your good works and want to become Christians, themselves. A Christian’s life-style rarely by itself produces new Christians. Christianity is communicable, but is seldom caught visually. - Herb Miller

  18. Matthew 28-19-20Go ye into all the world . . . • What’s your method? • How is it working for you? • How active have you been? • How active are you now? • Are you still scared?
