The PARADIGM SHIFT MMC develops a comprehensive medical facility including enough doctors’ offices to support needed services • Integration with the hotel provides a patient-friendly setting for care at a lower cost than at a hospital,, and greater financial feasibility for providers. The facility is structured as a Medical Office Building (MOB), but includes traditionally core hospital services: • Surgery center with recovery, mini-ICU and step-down unit • Full imaging with IR • ER with chest pain unit* • Clinical Lab • Invasive cardiac cath lab* • Radiation oncology* mmc Metropolitan medical care

  10. HOW WILL IT WORK ? All providers have an EMR, and all their IT systems are then integrated (MMC). Enterprise-wide system can monitor medical and financial performances real-time, and provide a portal for efficient clinical studies, both prospective clinical trials and via data mining. MMC can then negotiate a global insurance payment for episodes of care documented and provable to be in lieu of hospitalization (at 80% of current like cost in hospital), divide this payment up among providers in proportion to their UCR fees, and thus increase provider fee revenue per case by 2-3 x. FUTURE TARGET AREAS Metro areas, in location with health care primary service area of 100,000 and secondary service area of 250,000 • Rapid population growth in affluent area- or at least favorable payer mix • Rapid commercial growth- or other factors that create need for hotel • Heavy Managed care penetration , or other conditions that lead providers to seek means to increase their income levels.
