  2. Who influenced the fashions? Queen Victoria, King William IV and George Iv had a lot of influence on fashion in the romantic era

  3. What was the silhouette? . Big, Puffy, balloon, Ruffle dresses was very popular in the Romantic Era.

  6. What colors were popular? • Some of the most popular colors that were worn in the Romantic Era was Blue, Purple, Champagne, Red, Black, and Green.

  7. What textiles were used? • Certain fabrics that was used was silk, Trelis pattern, lace and Floral as well. • In the Romantic Era usually all fibers were used from natural resources such as plants and etc. Others were cotton wool, and other natural sources. • Some advantages of the Textile Technology was different machines made for a certain cause helped a lot with getting the work done faster

  9. What clothing parallels can be made to other time periods? • From 1665-1670 a lot of the big balloon romantic dresses that were worn in the Romantic era started in the 1600’s. However in the 1700’s the big dresses also was a trend that migrated down in the line.

What was the social climate of that time period? • Men felt deeply concern of death and eternity. • Women were more developed human beings them men, in fact women had the ability to bear children in society. • LIFESTYLE: • Families were bigger in the 19th century because people wanted to have as many kids, knowing half the time not all of them would survive. Everything belonged to the men “husband” even money that wife’s made.

What was new or popular at that time? • Inventions: • Lawnmower, Telegraph, sewing machine, saxophone and the telephone. • In the 1830 Camille Corot, Jean F, and Theodore drew landscapes, peasants, twilight scenes, and romantic paintings of people. • Romantic music was Western music that began in the late 18th century this was related to Romanticism this was a literary movement.

  12. What historical moments occurred? • CIVIL WAR- was a war that occurred between the time periods of 1861-1865 in the United States.
