  2. How to access resources Please complete the Homebase Application for Access form. Por favor complete el formulario de solicitud de acceso a Homebase.

  7. PowerSchool/Homebase Parent Portal Account and App Setup

  8. Why should I use the Parent Portal? • Stay on top of your child’s grades! This includes if your child has missing assignments. Click on the number for the appropriate quarter to see a detailed list of assignments.

  9. Click on score to see detailed list of assignments and grades for that quarter.

  10. Why should I use the Parent Portal? • Keep track of your child’s attendance.

  11. Why should I use the Parent Portal? • Check your child’s transportation information.

  12. Finish Up Some Forms Look for the staff member who has your student’s last name. Take your Application for Access form to that station to get your information letter.

  13. What do I need to create my Parent Portal account? • Parent Portal Application • Student Access ID (provided by school) • Student Access Password (provided by school) • Valid email address

  14. How do I create my account? • Turn in application & get letter w/ credentials from EWMS • Go to East Wake Middle’s website: wcpss.net/eastwakems • Click on Homebase in the black bar in the center of the page • Click on the link under Parents • Click the tab that says “Create Account” • Click “Create Account” button

  15. How do I create my account? • Enter your information at the top • Be sure to make note of your username and password that you create! • Enter your student’s information • Access ID and Password provided on the Parent Portal Letter provided to you • Click Enter

  16. How do I access the PowerSchool app for my phone/tablet? • Search your app store for “PowerSchool” • Download and then open the app • Enter the district code: K N D W • Enter the username and password you just created on the computer • Click “Continue as Parent” • Enable notifications for when new grades are entered.

  17. What can I NOT find in the Parent Portal? • Upcoming assignments/calendar • For this, check the teachers’ websites. You do NOT need a password to access the teachers’ websites! To find them: • Go to East Wake MS website: • https://www.wcpss.net/eastwakems • Click on Academics • Click on your child’s grade • Links may be for individual teacher websites OR for a team site where you can find info for each teacher
