How do I analyze the impact of rhyme and repetition on text? How do I identify poetic structures? How do I analyze the structural impact of figurative language? How do I compare and contrast multiple formats of a text? How do I analyze the effects of technical aspects of a presentation of text?

  2. Project Overview In this project you will be exploring figurative language through the exploration and analysis of different types of poetry. For EACH type of poetry included in your text book (Pg 506 & 507) you will have three power point slides 8 x 3 = 24 + title and project overview= • Title Page for type of poetry (include the definition) • Found Example (search the internet) • Include Title & Author • Cut and Paste a picture that relates to the poem • Include at least one example of how the author uses figurative language/sound devices • Your own original poem in that form • Cut and Paste a picture that relates to your poem • How did you use figurative language /sound devices SAVE THIS DOCUMENT INTO MS W’s STUDENT SHARED FOLDER UNDER YOUR ASSIGNED CLASS ASK IF YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW TO FIND OR SAVE IT!!!
