  5. Pupils will study up to 11 GCSEs Separate Sciences for G1 and Y1 All pupils will receive advice and an interview as needed.

  7. Orange Pathway: The English Baccalaureate • A good, balanced curriculum. • A good preparation for many University Courses • Desirable for employment opportunities • Historically the main offer for Key Stage 4 in many schools and pathway on to traditional degrees.

  8. The Orange Pathway: The English Baccalaureate Block A Art Business Studies French Geography History P.E. Spanish Technology Block B Geography History ICT GCSE Media Studies P.E. Spanish Technology Block C BTEC Sport BTEC Business BTEC Travel & Tourism BTEC ICT (ALL DOUBLE AWARDS) Block D Art Greek History ICT GCSE Performing Arts Spanish Block E Geography ICT GCSE Latin Music Psychology Technology Chooseat least one of—French/Spanish/Latin/Greek And at least one of—History/Geography

The Purple Route • A wide range of GCSEs and BTECs • Provides many pathways to Further and Higher Education • Variety of pathways into Employment and Training • BTECs are GCSE equivalent courses, they are task based and continually assessed, no examinations. Excellent results, treated equally for Sixth Form entry.

  12. Choices • Choose subjects you enjoy and are good at • Choose subjects that go well together • Choose subjects which will help you progress post-16 • Take the opportunities provided by a fresh start, • new Key Stage, modular courses, new ways of working etc
