UCLA’s Official Chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Mission: To promote and enhance the technical competency and professional well-being of our members, and through quality programs and activities in mechanical engineering, better enable its practitioners to contribute to the well-being of humankind. • Core Values: • Facilitate the development, dissemination and application of engineering knowledge • Promote the benefits of continuing education and of engineering education • Promote the technical and societal contribution of engineers

Serve as a Resource on Campus that Reinforces ASME’s Mission and Core Values: - Sponsored Projects and Competitions - Link to various Industry Resources - Contribute to the UCLA Community - Complement a Student’s Engineering Education - Encourage Student and Faculty Interaction Outside the Classroom

ASME/Updated Events • BATTLEBOTS TEAM • Current Budget • - $2000 total budget for parts and fabrication costs • - Saving a good portion of money using older parts • from “Son of Boelter” Chassis • Current Funding Received: • +$579 from MAE Dept • +$60 from ASME Membership (30 registered) • +$1200 from Engineering Alumni Association
