  11. OSHA Safety Stand Downs • June 21 – July 22, 2012: Oklahoma oil and gas Stand down. • As a result of 9 fatalities and one catastrophe between October 2011 and April 2012 • Industry voluntarily inspected 1200 rigs, • Found and corrected 2500 hazards • Safety Training to 9,800+ workers

OSHA NEWS • Executive Order 13650: Improving Chemical Facility Safety and Security • Request for Information regarding O&G exemption from 1910.119 (PSM) regulation; Comments due March 10, 2014 • Drilling and Servicing – Due to anticipated promulgation of O&G regulations • O&G Production Facilities – Due to lack of economic feasibility study to include production facilities

OSHA NEWS • OSHA Proposed Rule - Injury and Illness Record Electronic Submission • Written Comments due March 8, 2014 • Public Meeting January 9, 2014 in DC • Employers with more than 250 employees submit their OSHA records quarterly • Employers in certain high-hazard industries with more than 20 employees submit their OSHA records annually • Eventually, company OSHA Injury and Illness records will be posted on OSHA website

  15. OSHA NEWS • Proposed Rule on Respirable Silica • General Industry, Construction, Maritime • Reduces PEL from 100ug/m3 to 50ug/m3 • Comment Period extended to January 27, 2014 • Hearing to be held March 18, 2014 in DC

OSHA NEWS • Globally Harmonized System for Classification of Chemicals (GHS) • December 1, 2013 - Train employees on the new label elements and SDS format • December 1, 2015 -Comply with all modified provisions of this final rule • June 1, 2016 - Update alternative workplace labeling and hazard communication program as necessary, and provide additional employee training for newly identified physical or health

  17. OSHA NEWS • Whistleblowers can now file complaints electronically on OSHA website • Electronic signatures online now accepted to formalize S&H complaints • Protecting Temporary Workers • OSHA extended crane operator certification requirement in Construction to Nov 10, 2017
