  1. 6 LESSONS FROM EAGLES WILLIE TAFADZWA CHINYAMURINDI WILLIE TAFADZWA CHINYAMURINDI

  2. KEY TEXT • GOD WANTS US TO RISE • WE RISE LIKE EAGLES • HENCE NEED FOR STUDY

  3. OTHER BIBLICAL TEXTS EAGLE WINGS – A PLACE OF SAFETY Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and [how] I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself. Exodus 19 vs. 4

  4. BEACON TO AIM FOR • But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint. ISAIAH 40 VS. 31

  5. A DESCRIPTION OF HIS RETURN • Behold, he shall come up as clouds, and his chariots [shall be] as a whirlwind: his horses are swifter than eagles. Woe unto us! for we are spoiled. JEREMIAH 4 VS. 31

  6. THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY • A diligent student and an earnest seeker for truth, he had received the gospel from the Greek Testament of Erasmus. He fearlessly preached his convictions, urging that all doctrines be tested by the Scriptures. • To the papist claim that the church had given the Bible, and the church alone could explain it, Tyndale responded, "Do you know who taught the eagles to find their prey? That same God teaches his hungry children to find their Father in his Word. GC 255

  7. A SIGN OF VICTORY • Under the power of the spell that is upon them their lips are closed, and the oppressed are delivered. The believing, harassed souls are borne up as on eagles' wings, and the victory is gained. HEAVENLY PLACES 297

  8. 6 LESSONS - A dedication to the following: 1) Class of 2006 SDASM – that is about to enter the corporate world. 2) Remaining stewards and servants 3) All soldiers in the army of Christ

  9. LESSON 1 They are only two types of eagles – Bald Eagle and the Golden eagle • Which one are you? • In life we can only serve God or the devil • The choice is yours!

  10. LESSON 1: • 1 John 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. • 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

  11. LESSON 1 • You a son of God • A child of God • A royal priesthood • A perculiar person • Holy • Called into a marvelous light DON’T FORGET THAT!

  12. LESSON 1 • “Men and women are more precious in the sight of God than the human mind can estimate. Christ understands their value; for he sacrificed Himself for their redemption. We are His property, the purchase of His life-blood. “ • Christian Leadership 32

  13. LESSON 2 • Eagles build their nest in tall trees or on high cliffs. • AIM HIGH • “God's ideal for his children is higher than the highest human thought can reach.” “SPTED 206”

  14. LESSON 2 • JEREMIAH 29 vs. 11 • The greatest treason ever • Luke 23:21 But they cried, saying, Crucify [him], crucify him. • Hebrews 6:6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put [him] to an open shame.

  15. Lesson 3 • Eagles have a good eye sight OPEN OUR EYES LORD WE WANT TO SEE JESUS OPEN OUR EYES GEN 3:7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they [were] naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

  16. LESSON 3 • See opportunities around you for lifting up Christ. • See you brothers and sisters who need help • See ways you can be a blessing each day to someone • Matt 17:8 And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only.

  17. Lesson 4 Eagles were never meant to live in cages

  18. LESSON 4 • Some cages that stop eagles 1) SIN 2) PRIDE 3) SELFISHNESS For long we have been looking for a Moses to take us out of Egypt into the promised land.

  19. LESSON 4 • JOHN 3 VS. 16 • Jesus cares for each one as though there were not another individual on the face of the earth. As Deity He exerts mighty power in our behalf, while as our Elder Brother He feels for all our woes. The Majesty of heaven held not Himself aloof from degraded, sinful humanity. We have not a high priest who is so high, so lifted up, that He cannot notice us or sympathize with us, but one who was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. {AG 78.5}

  20. LESSON 5 • The eagle has been used by many nations as a national symbol, depicting power, beauty and independence. • We are a symbol to the perishing world.. • EPH 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

  21. SOME SYMBOLS

  22. LESSON 5 • 24 hours a day • 365 days • Public view • Come rain or wind.

  23. LESSON 6 EAGLES ARE SOCIAL BEINGS

  24. LESSON 6 • We are all public servants! • Jesus had begun to break down the partition wall between Jew and Gentile, and to preach salvation to the world. Though He was a Jew, He mingled freely with the Samaritans, setting at nought the Pharisaic customs of His nation. In face of their prejudices He accepted the hospitality of this despised people. • He slept under their roofs, ate with them at their tables,--partaking of the food prepared and served by their hands,--taught in their streets, and treated them with the utmost kindness and courtesy. {DA 193.2}

  25. LESSON 6 • Jesus did not choose His disciples from the learned lawyers, the rulers, the scribes, and Pharisees. He passed them by because they felt whole, as many feel in this age, and prided themselves on their learning and position. • They were fixed in their traditions and superstitions, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. He who could read all hearts chose poor fishermen who were willing to be taught. He gave them no promise of large salary or worldly honor, but told them they should be partakers with Him in His sufferings. Jesus while in this world ate with publicans and sinners, and mingled with the common people, not to become low and earthly with them, but in order by precept and example to present to them right principles, to lift them up from their low habits and manners. In all this He set us an example, that we should follow in His steps. {SW 10.2}

  26. CONCLUSION • BE GOOD • KNOW THAT GOD IS IN CONTROL • REMEMBER TITUS 2 VS. 13 • MEET ME IN HEAVEN – AS FOR NOW I HAVE ANOTHER ASSIGNMENT TO GO FOR JESUS
