  32. QUESTIONS?

  33. USING RMI TO DETERMINE ENTRY Find the heading 20 degrees UP from the 90 degree point. Direct Entry Sector Draw an imaginary line to a point on the opposite side of the compass card DOWN 20 degrees from the 90 degree point. Parallel Entry Sector Teardrop Entry Sector Now draw an imaginary line from the center of the RMI to the heading index.

  46. STANDARD RATE 3°/second MAXIMUM BANK ANGLE 30° TURNS IN HOLDING

  47. TIMING INITIAL ENTRY – One minute outbound and begins over the fix or abeam whichever occurs last. INBOUND - Achieve as close as possible to one minute. ADJUST – All adjustments made on outbound leg.

  48. DETERMINE ABEAM POINT (NAVAID) HSI VOR – TO/FROM indicator changes. VOR – Rotate selected course pointer 90° from the holding course; the deviation bar will center when abeam the VOR. RMI ADF/VOR – When single or double bar pointer indicates 90° from the holding course.
