  1. Storyboard • TDT1

  2. Scene 1 • So this is Richard and welcome to the second project. In this project, you’ll be making a sprite, like the little rotating fuzzy ball shown here, move around the screen, bounce off walls, and stop and change direction. • You won’t be able to do complex animations like this using the timeline, so you will have to use ActionScript to do this project. • The first challenge will be to get your sprite to move in a straight line from Point A to Point B. You’ll have to figure out how to make it move. Consider this analogy:

  3. Scene 2 • It’s Sunday morning, and I’ve just gotten some cash from an ATM at my neighborhood grocery. Now I want to go get some breakfast at my favorite coffee shop.

  4. Scene 3 • I am here

  5. Scene 4 • I’m going to walk by Dunkin Donuts.

  6. Scene 5 • I’m going to walk by Starbucks.

  7. Scene 6 • Which places me here: almost to the store.

  8. Scene 7 • And then I arrive.

  9. Scene 8 • So in the process of the morning, I moved from point A...

  10. Scene 8b • ... to point B. And it took 9 minutes.

  11. Closing... • So based on this, what do you think you need to know to get your sprite from point A to point B on the screen? • We’ll be talking about this more, but go ahead and visit Discussion 1 in the forum to tell us what you think now.
