  5. Information about the author/story “Happy Endings” was written by Margaret Atwood. She was born in Canada in 1939 and is currently 71 years old. She studied at the University of Toronto and Harvard. Some of her famous works include The Cat’s Eye, Alias Grace and The Blind Assassin. “Happy Endings” is Atwood’s most famous short story. It was published in 1983.

  6. Information about you My name is Daniel and I was born in New York in 1982. I am a teacher at the Catholic University of Daegu. I live in Gyeongsanand am married. I am interested in literature, the Korean language, travel and philosophy. I would like to become a professor after I finish school. I spend most of my time reading, teaching and relaxing with my wife.

  7. Why you chose this story I chose to write my essay on “Happy Endings” because it seemed really short and interesting. I don’t like to read long or boring stories. I also liked the story because it is about marriage and I am married.

  8. Thesis statement “Happy Endings” is related to my life in several ways. First, the characters John and Mary are similar to my wife and I. In addition, Mary and my wife like eating at restaurants. Finally, the characters die at the end, reminding me that I will also die someday. This essay will discuss the connections between “Happy Endings” and my life, using many examples.
