Visualization of the inhomogeneities in the image has been performed by means of a spatial filtering method with an edge filter.

The apparatus has been used for a successful low-temperature synthesis of GaN ultrathin films.

Nanostructures with minimum dimensions of tens nanometers have been built by the local anodic oxidation method into various materials (Ti, Si, GaAS, Al,...).
