  2. Project 22!! • Purpose: • So we, the students, can learn about the dynamic topics that are featured in our textbook! • Horticulture Rocks. Yes siree. • I promise to do my best on Project 22.

  3. Project 22!! • Here’s how it works. • You will be in teams of four. • Your team will choose a dynamic chapter from our textbook! • You will choose a TEAM CAPTAIN to represent you.

  4. Project 22!! • Next, your team will discuss and complete the CONCEPT MAP for your topics. • Next review and SELECT 22 KEY FACTS from that chapter! • 22? Yes 22! Why 22? • Later, dude.

  5. Project 22!! • Now get this… • At least FOUR of your key facts MUST come from the cool links tab of our web site at: www.popehorticulture.com

  6. Project 22!! • Your mission will be to present these 22 cool facts to the class in a very unique way! * Actually, You must present the 22 facts to the class in three methods. Three methods? Yes, three methods!

  7. A 3 methods of presentation! • Method #1: the KEY FACT SHEET! (key fact sheet?) Yes, the key fact sheet. • This means all of your 22 key facts must be typed into a very neat document with a title and the name of each team member! That’s the key fact sheet, dude.

  8. 3 methods of presentation! • Method #2: • A poster… but not just any old poster, • We call it a SUPER POSTER, because it is colorful! it breathes! it lives! and it rocks your everloving world! • Yes, you may use two posters if needed • Yes, every team member must contribute to the poster in some way. • Each poster must have 22 elements!

  9. 3 methods of presentation! • Method # 3: A POWERFUL POWER POINT! • Each team member must create at least 4 slides to contribute to the show. • Photos and illustrations are required. • 22 facts must be presented. • You will also need an intro and closing slide!

  10. Project 22!! • See the checklist on the back of the handout. • Be sure all team members have participated before turning in the checklist. • But Mr. Green, what will we do with any slackers on our team?

  12. The team presentation. • The TEAM CAPTAIN will introduce each member of the team to the class. Each team member will choose a name for themselves based on the chapter assigned. • Wear your name badge ALL DAY LONG during project 22. The team who keeps their name badges till the end of the project will get popcorn and 5 boogie bucks each!

  13. The team presentation. • The presentation must include the: • THE POWERFUL POWER POINT SHOW • THE SUPERPOSTER • THE LIST OF 22 KEY FACTS • PLUS 4 FACTS FROM OUR WEB SITE. • EACH TEAM MEMBER MUST SPEAK DURING THE PRESENTATION.

  14. Rules for Project 22 • You must work in a group of 4. • Your presentation must last 4 minutes and 22 seconds. (Rehearse for timing.) • We will complete this assignment in 2.2 class periods. • This project will count as 2.2 quizzes.

  15. May we use music or skits in our presentation?

  16. Final suggestions! • There are over 22 students in this class! • There are 22 types of crayons and markers to use! • There are 22 chapters to choose from! • Why are we hung up on this number 22?
