  2. Objective Operation Restore… Restoring lives FREE surgery & treatment to Burn VictimsSurvivors Correct the functional deformities by surgery & physiotherapy Restore their working capacity & confidence to lead a near normal life www.oprestore.org

  3. Beneficiaries Operation Restore… Restoring lives Mainly women & children Only functional surgeries, not cosmetic Socially & Economically deprived families VictimsSurvivorsof accidents, dowry harassment, suicide, and acid attack cases www.oprestore.org

  4. The beginning… Overwhelming Need… Overcome Challenges Started as joint project with US based NGO ‘Operation Smile’ in 2010 Held annual camps with 50-60 patients In 2013 ‘Operation Smile’ discontinued as it focussed only on cleft lip surgery & not burns www.oprestore.org

  5. Its progress Over 250 surgeries completed since 2010 Collaborated with other Rotary Clubs Present format to hold 3-4 camps in the year with approx. 20 patients per camp Have also received support from the Rotary District and other Donors www.oprestore.org

Camp model More funds … More Beneficiaries • The camp is supported with the help of: • Volunteer Doctors & Paramedics • 6 surgeons, 4 anesthesiologists, 7 physiotherapists, 12 member team of National Burns Centre (NBC) • Enthusiasm of Rotarians • Cost incurred are for consumables & medicines only • Balance expenses underwritten by NBC www.oprestore.org

Cost per Patient per Camp • Other costs incurred but NOT included in the camp are: • Airfare, Hotel stay, Food - For surgeons who are from out of station • Breakfast, lunch, tea - For Volunteers in the Operating Team, Nursing Staff • Printing cost for posters, banners, documentation & Admin expenses www.oprestore.org
