  2. NMOOP : AT A GLANCE NMOOP : Components NMOOP : OBJECTIVES MM I on Oilseeds MM II on Oil Palm MM III on TBOs To accelerate the production of vegetable oils (Oilseeds, Oil Palm and TBOs) from 7.06 million tonnes to 9.51 million tonnes at the end of twelfth plan.

NMOOP AT A GLANCE AREA OF OPERATIONS MM I on Oilseeds :19 states (Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Assam, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Nagaland and Tripura) MM II on Oil Palm :19 states (Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Mizoram, Karnataka, Kerala, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura and West Bengal). MM III on TBOs : 28 states (Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Goa, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal).

NMOOP : AT A GLANCE IMPLEMENTING AGENCIES MM I on Oilseeds : i) 19 SDAs ii) Central seed producing agencies- NSC/SFCI/NAFED/KRIBHCO/ IFFCO (IFFDC)/HIL iii) Research institutes : ICAR / SAUs / KVKs MM II on Oil Palm : i) 12 SDAs and 7 SDHs ii) Research institutes – ICAR (DOPR) MM III on TBOs : i) 28 SDAs ii) Research organizations : ICFRE, CSIR and IITs iii) Central organizations : TRIFED / NCDC iv) Others like FPOs / SHGs / FIG s/ Cooperatives / Individuals

NMOOP : AT A GLANCE Funding pattern UNDER NMOOP STRATEGIES of NMOOP • Increasing the certified seed availability by maintaining seed chain of recently released varieties. • Integrated crop management by increasing area under IPM / INM ? Micro irrigation and demonstrating latest production / protection technologies at farmers field through FLD / demonstrations. • Promotion of mechanization through distribution of improved farm implements / equipments. • Capacity building of farmers / extension workers through inter / intra trainings including FFS. Mostly 75 : 25 between Central and State Governments and 100% to central agencies.

  6. NMOOP : AT A GLANCE NMOOP : Central outlay A total of Rs. 3507 crores is earmarked for twelfth plan to implement proposed strategies. The mission -wise details are given below.

NMOOP : AT A GLANCE Expected outcome at the end of twelfth plan five year plan MM I on Oilseeds : i) Additional production : 6.58 million tonnes (from 28.93 million tonnes to 35.51 million tonnes) ; ii) Additional productivity : 247 kg / ha (from 1081 kg/ha to 1328 kg/ha) and iii) Additional area under irrigation : 10 % (from 26% to 36%). MM II on Oil Palm : i) Additional area : 1.25 lakh ha and ii) Additional productivity of FFBs : 10073 kg /ha.(from 15000 kg / ha to 4927 kg / ha) MM III on TBOs : i) Additional seed collection : 5 lakh tonnes (from 9 lakh tonnes to 14 lakh tonnes)
