  1. What Skill Do I Need? • If you are thinking about creating a website ( especially if it’s for business/money making), you may be curious or even intimidated by what you have to learn. Here are some skills and attributes that will come in handy

  2. A basic of Understand of Web Programming • For running a website you don’t need to become an expert programmer to have successful website, but you should learn the basics of html.

  3. People underestimate the importance of this attribute. Anyone can throw up content and call it a website or a blog, but when it come to effective marketing and building traffic, you have to dig deep and get in touch with your creative side. • Some will argue creativeness cant be learned because it’s a talent, that’s true to an extent but I believe you can improve you creativity, especially if you study other successful webmasters and bloggers. • Dare to be different

  4. Good Writing Skills • The skill is especially important if you want to make money the way I do. My writing has improved tremendously over the years. • Let’s take writing for example 5 years ago I may have titled a blog post about apple features something simple like “i-phone features”. • Today, I would take more time with that title and maybe craft something more attention-grabbing like, “Apple i-phone Amazing and Wondering Technology Features”.

  5. See How the 2nd title “Apple i-phone Amazing and Wondering Technology Features “is much more interesting and eye-catching? • This is something I learned over time by studying other successful webmaster whose writing I admired. • One headline can be the difference between hundreds and thousands of visits.

  6. Set Your Goal • Decide the Over All Objective of your website • Informational? • Blog? • Online Shopping? • Entertainment? • Something else?

  7. Identify And Target Your Audience • Profile Your Market as accurately as possible- this is important in deciding the tone, content and style of the website • Ensure your websites’s goal • Compliments yours markets’ objective – you may need to reassess your goal

  8. Decide what content your website is going to have • What information does your website need to contatin? • How much content are you going to have? • Include the keywrords you are targeting to rank higly in the search engines • Content can be written later, but decide on what will be created • Some web developer will write content for you

  9. Develop a structure • Decide how the content will be divided up • Group the pages according to themes • If necessary create a website hierarchy with your most important page at a higher level. • Think about how visitors will navigate your website

  10. Design your website • Bear in mind:-Your website goal-Your target market-Your content • Consider the significance of different colors • Make sure your design is accessible to disable users • Consider hiring a professional to make your design stand out

  11. Convert Your design to code • Hire a web developer- Writing good code demands greats experience • Valid code is better for search engines.

  12. Upload Website to Internet • If you don’t have one yet, you will need to register a domain name with a registrar. • You will need a web host to store your website code and to display your website to visitors. • A good web developer will help you with your website and help you with domain name.

  13. Domain & Hosting (First Step) • Before we get started you should understand that Every website must two things • 1) A domain name • 2) A web host

  14. Domain Names • The domain name is the address of your website (yoursite.com) and the web host is the company that allows you to publish your pages to the Internet, create email addresses (name@yoursite.com) and additional features like chat room, forums, shopping carts, feedback form etc.

  15. Webhosting • A webhost is the company that provides the server space for your web pages and what ever files you need for your website. • You will be uploading your websites files to your host. This is how a website become visible on the Internet.

  16. Type Of Web hosting • Free web hosting service • Shared web hosting service • Reseller web hosting • Dedicated hosting service • Managed hosting service • Unlimited Hosting Service

  17. Free web hosting service • Offered by different companies with limited services, sometimes supported by advertisements, and often limited when compared to paid hosting.

  18. Shared Web hosting • One's website is placed on the same server as many other sites, ranging from a few to hundreds or thousands. Typically, all domains may share a common pool of server resources, such as RAM and the CPU. The features available with this type of service can be quite extensive. A shared website may be hosted with a reseller.

  19. Reseller web hosting • Allows clients to become web hosts themselves. Resellers could function, for individual domains, under any combination of these listed types of hosting, depending on who they are affiliated with as a reseller. Resellers' accounts may vary tremendously in size: they may have their own virtual dedicated server to a colocated server. Many resellers provide a nearly identical service to their provider's shared hosting plan and provide the technical support themselves

  20. Dedicated hosting service • The user gets his or her own Web server and gains full control over it (user has root access for Linux/administrator access for Windows); however, the user typically does not own the server. Another type of Dedicated hosting is Self-Managed or Unmanaged. This is usually the least expensive for Dedicated plans. The user has full administrative access to the server, which means the client is responsible for the security and maintenance of his own dedicated server

  21. Managed hosting service • The user gets his or her own Web server but is not usually allowed full control over it (user is denied root access for Linux/administrator access for Windows); however, they are allowed to manage their data via FTP or other remote management tools. The user is disallowed full control so that the provider can guarantee quality of service by not allowing the user to modify the server or potentially create configuration problems. The user typically does not own the server. The server is leased to the client.

  22. Unlimited Hosting Service • Don’t buy hosting from the companies who claim they will give u unlimited space, bandwidth, and all other resources at cost of 3 -4 $ per month. • Like ixwebhosting.com

  23. Specific Type of hosting • Some specific types of hosting provided by web host service providers: • File hosting service: hosts files, not web pages (rapidshare.com) • Image hosting service (tinypic.com) • Video hosting service (youtube.com • Blog hosting service (blogger.com)
