EDIC Key deliverables One stop service for Eskom documents Authorised Eskom management documents Provision of information to support business such as: Business Management Information Research material Corporate governance, legal and audit requirements Standards and procedures General reference material Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA) manual Section 32 and Section 15 reports Influencing proposed bills concerning eLaw as and when received from the Parliament Portfolio Committees. Training and awareness on EDIC services and related policies, procedures and legislation

Information Centre Services E-Resources and subscriptions: Employees can subscribe to print or electronic resources such as databases, e-journals, e-reports and memberships Literature/Information Searches: Conducting of literature or information searches online and manually locally and internationally Interlibrary loans: obtaining and borrowing of books and material from other libraries Orders: Ordering of information material e.g. books, videos for personal or business use Newspaper subscriptions Preservation of Eskom?s history and heritage Training and assistance to users in the usage of resources

For assistance in retrieving Eskom policies, directives and procedures For assistance in getting the right template to use when compiling a management document and in formatting the document

Archive Services Receipt of documentation to be archived (Repository) Enquiries on archived documentation Destruction of documentation based on given retention period Advisory service on the following: Retention periods and schedules Archive requirements Filing solutions and resolving of filing problems Indexing and coding Data capture Training on the management of the archive and archived records Why contact archive? The archive can be contacted only if your Department has sent records to the archive and permission has been given to you access the records.

PAIA Office Services Receipt of PAIA requests Provision of guidance and advice to the Deputy Information Officers on handling of received requests Analysis of electronic Laws (eLaws), such as PAJA, POPIA, ECT, etc and recommendation of implementation strategy Awareness on the PAIA and handling of information requests by external parties Monitoring of implementation and reporting on status as required by the Act Why contact PAIA Office?
