Innovation Centres • Cluster Innovation Centre • The first academic innovation cluster in India – Started in September 2011 • Offers project and internship driven degree courses that promote innovation • Courses being offered: B.Tech (IT), BA Hons Humanities & Social Sciences, M.Sc. In Mathematics Education • Forms linkages with industry and NGOs • Promotes Solution Design, Entrepreneurship & Start-ups • Centre for Innovation in Infectious Disease Research, Education and Training (CIIDRET) • Started in October 2015 • Develops diagnostics & therapeutics for infectious diseases • Focus on Tuberculosis, Malaria, Typhoid, HIV-AIDs, Chikungunya & Dengue • State of Art Genomic & Proteomic facilities for short-term training and research • Consultancy and solutions to Biotech Industries • Industry-Academia interaction through Public Lecture Series

Technology Business Incubators • Electropreneur Park • Established in 2015, under the aegis of Ministry of Electronics and IT, Software Technology Park of India (STPI), and India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA) • First of its kind electronic system design and manufacturing facility • Promotes Entrepreneurship in ESDM sector, Creates IPR • Provides assistance in prototyping, development and commercialization • Employment creation through long-term partnership with strategic sector • Start-up incubation • DUCIC-TBI (MSME) • Established in 2015 • Funded by Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Entreprise (MoMSME) under the scheme “Support for Entrepreneurial and Managerial Development of SMEs through Incubators” • Provides funding up to Rs. 8 lakhs for converting innovative ideas to product resulting in small enterprises. • Provides assistance in prototyping, development & mentoring support • Start-up incubation

Innovations Successful START-UP Ecosystem at University of Delhi The University of Delhi has a rich and highly integrated research based innovation ecosystem that fosters a culture of entrepreneurship and has resulted in several innovative start ups. Examples of start ups by the Electropreneur Park are as follows: Ceantra Technologies Developing connected Vehicle Platform to Monitor of Vehicle Health and Driver behaviours Success Story… 9 IP Patents Filed 7 Product Launches 4 Funded 6 Cr Revenue Generated (Since April 2016) Resonant Electronics Developing IoT based, Wireless, Retro-Fit – "Energy Audit & Control System” Starbru Techsystems Developing tactical android wireless data card (TAWDC) for interface with existing Indian Army radio . I lumy, doorastha Developing a unique solution to monitor energy usage in a distributed grid and control the power delivery to the end user Univlabs Developing medical equipment and accessories for Endoscopy and Laproscopy Simply Purify Providing affordable and innovative solutions for air pollution control and monitoring at home & commercial establishments EVI Technologies We from EVI Technologies, have developed an Electric Vehicle (EV) Fast Charging Station.

Design Innovation Centre (DIC) Established in 2015 under the National Initiative for Design Innovation, with funding from the MHRD The Design Innovation Centre at DU provides a compete ecosystem for design innovation, converting product ideas into prototype, design IPR and commercialisation. Selected Strategies to Promote Research in the University The University is also a part of the Global Initiative of Academic Networks (GIAN), an initiative of the MHRD to increase the presence of reputed international faculty in the Indian academic institutes. This year, Professor Benjamin Wolozin from the Boston University School of Medicine conducted a 5-days Workshop on RNA Metabolism and Neurodegenerative Diseases at the Department of Chemistry.
