2. Happy Registration Week! Just a reminder… April 21 is only the BEGINNING of Fall 2014 online registration! You can register for classes any time after your time ticket day/time.

4. Faculty Advising • Meet with your faculty advisor before registration to discuss course options.

5. Undergraduate Catalog Use your Undergraduate Catalog to identify classes that you need. http://www.ithaca.edu/catalogs/index.php

6. Degree Evaluation • Run a Degree Evaluation in HomerConnect. • Use the evaluation to identify courses that you need to complete. Take Note… • Is a course only offered in the Fall? in the Spring? • Is there a prerequisite for a course you want?

7. Adding & Dropping Classes 1. On HomerConnect, Choose Student, Financial Aid and Residential Life section from the main menu. 2. Select the Registration link. 3. Click on the Add or Drop Classes link listed as an option within the Registration Menu. Using the pull-down menu, select the appropriate term for which you are registering and click the Submit button. 4. To add a class, enter the CRN in the Add Classes Worksheet section of the page. 5. Once the CRNs have been entered into the fields provided, click the Submit Changes button to finalize registration.

8. Advanced Class Search Use the Advanced Search function in HomerConnect make finding classes easier! Ask the Academic Advisors to show you how to search for classes in Advanced Search if you are unsure.

9. Course Override Request Registration overrides are handled through an Online Course Override form activated through HomerConnect. Please note that all questions or issues should be directed to your school.

10. Course Overrides • The form becomes available concurrently with your time-ticket for registration. • You will receive email confirmation when you have submitted the form successfully. • When a decision has been rendered, you will also receive an email notification. • This form does not register you for the course. You must still register manually on HomerConnect.

11. Registration Reminders • Students will be dropping/adding courses until the end of the first week of the Fall semester. • Check Homer often to see if there are openings in the classes you want. • Identify extra classes in case the course(s) is filled. • NOTE: Registration does close in June and July to allow new students to register for the Fall. It will reopen in August.

12. Registration Holds • There are several holds that prevent registration. • Holds must be released by the office that originally placed the hold. • Financial related holds: You need to contact Student Financial Services to resolve the issue. • Dean specific holds: See the appropriate Dean’s office.

14. Office of the Registrar • Visit the Office of the Registrar for questions about your transcript and to receive more information on HomerConnect. • Located on the 2nd floor of Peggy Ryan Williams Hall. Reminder: Important forms are available here!
