  3. Adverbs modify,or tell us more about other verbs,usually verbs: .They went slowly. .She solved the test easily.

  4. Sometimes they tell us more about adjectives: .You look absolutely fabuluous.

  5. They can also modify other adverbs. .You are speaking too quietly.

  6. In most cases,an adverb is formed by adding ‘-ly’ to an adjective. • Adjective Adverb Careful Carefully Angry Angrily Cheap Cheaply

  7. An adverb indicates manner, time, place, cause, or degree and answers questions such as "how," "when," "where," "how much“. .I’m going away tomorrow. .We ran downhill. .The accident happened there.

  8. ADVERBS OF MANNER • Adverbs of manner tell us how something happens. They are usually placed after the main verb or after the object.Common adverbs of manner are angrily, carefully, carelessly, cautiously, clearly,happily, and thoughtfully. .He talked loudly .It was a hard decision to make.

  9. .She spoke interestingly about her ideas. .Joe ate hungrily. .You have cooked the meat beautifully. .I sing very badly.

  10. ADVERBS OF PLACE • Adverbs of place tell us wheresomething happens.They are usually placed after the main verb or after the object.Common adverbs of place are along,away,back,down,here,there and up. .They live there. .I sent the package back.

  12. ADVERBS OF TIME • Adverbs of time tell us when an action happened, but also for how long, and how often .Common adverbs of time are later,next,now,soon,then,today,tomorrow,and yesterday.

  14. ADVERBS OF CERTAINTY • Adverbs of certainty express how certain or sure we feel about an action or event. • Common adverbs of certainty: • certainly, definitely, probably, undoubtedly, surely.

  16. Adverbs of Frequency • Adverbs of Frequency answer the question "How often?" or "How frequently?“. They tell us how often somebody does something.Common adverbs of frequency are always,never,normally,occasionaly,often,rarely,seldom,sometimes and usually.

ADVERBS OF DEGREE • Adverbs of degree tell us about the intensity or degree of an action, an adjective or another adverb. • Common adverbs of degree:fairly, hardly, rather, quite, too, very, extremely,fully,  absolutely, completely, just, totally, seriously, surely, certainly, much , very, almost, nearly, enough, scarcely, really.
