Exam Logistics (Summer ‘15) • Exam 1 will be held on Tuesday, June 14, from 9:30-11:00 AM in CSE 118 (EDGE Studio “B”) for ALL GAINESVILLE AREA STUDENTS. • Students residing outside the Gainesville area ONLY should make arrangements with their EDGE-approved proctor to take the exam NO EARLIER THAN 9:00 AM (EST) on Tuesday, June 14, or anytime on Wednesday, June 15.

  7. Ground Rules and Format • You will have 90 minutes to work on the exam. • No notes, books, calculators, cell phones, PDAs or other electronic devices (other than a watch) are allowed. • Bring your UF student picture ID. • All answers should be given in the spaces provided on the exam only. • Problem format may be short answer, matching, true/false, fill-in-the-blank, proofs, etc. • The point-value of each problem will be given. • Please do NOT ask questions about problems during the exam. If you are unsure of what is being asked or what is meant, either skip the prob-lem or just use your best judgment

  8. Exam Procedures for students who resideoutside the Gainesville area • Proctors will be instructed to schedule a SINGLE EXAM TIME for all students at each site. • The exam will be available to proctors the day before it is administered on-campus. • Make prior arrangements with your proctor to take the exam on Tuesday (time TBD), or anytime Wednesday. • Proctors should return electronic copies of completed exams via e-mail or FAX directly to the instructor ASAP after administration.

  9. Make-Up Exam Policy • Students are expected to make every effort to be present at the scheduled exam time. • If missing the exam is unavoidable (e.g., due to sickness, accident, or other reasons beyond your control), please contact the instructor as far in advance as possible. • Make-up exams may be administered orally. • If it is not practical to administer a make-up exam before the end of the term, a course grade of "I" (incomplete) may be assigned.
