  1. Ten Steps to Help You Stand Fast in the Lord! ~ Phil. 4 Therefore, my beloved brethren whom I long to see, my joy and crown, in this way stand firm in the Lord, my beloved. (Phil. 4:1)

  2. 1. Strive for Unity • Strive for Unity - Even when it is Difficult 2-3 • “I urge Euodia and I urge Syntyche to live in harmony in the Lord. Indeed, true companion, I ask you also to help these women who have shared my struggle in the cause of the gospel, together with Clement also and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.”

  3. 2. Rejoice • In the Lord ALWAYS! • “Rejoice in the Lord Always - Again I say Rejoice!” ~ v. 4 • Jude 1:24 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, • 1Thes 5:16- Rejoice always!

  4. 3. Be Gentle! • Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. ~ v. 5 • Jesus was Gentle – • Isa 40:11 He will feed His flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and gently lead those who are with young. • The Lord is at Near! • How would you behave if Jesus was standing right next to you?

  5. 4. Don’t Be Anxious! • “Be anxious for nothing” ~ v. 6 • Mt 6:25-34~ God cares about you! • Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: "The Lord knows those who are His," and, "Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity." 2 Tim 2:19

  6. 5. Prayer and Supplication! • In Everything! Let Your Requests be made Known to God! • 1Thes 5:17-18 ~Pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. • Col 1:9 ~ For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

  7. 6. Abide in the Peace of God • “And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” ~ v.7 • Col.3:15 ~ The Peace of God will rule in your heart! • Eph 2:13-18 ~ Peace with God and one another because of the sacrifice of Jesus.

Think about Good Things • “Brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.” Phil 4:8 • Rom 2:15-16 ~ God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel. • Heb 4:12 ~ The thoughts and intents of the heart. Eph 5:12-13 The things done by those in secret.

Follow Good Examples: • The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do! • Heb 13:7 ~ Remember those who rule over you, who have spoken the word of God to you, whose faith follow, considering the outcome of their conduct. • 1Thes 5:12-13 ~ And we urge you, brethren, to recognize those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, 13 and to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. Be at peace among yourselves.

Be Content! • “I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need.” • Whatever State… • 1 Tim 6:6-8 ~Now godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. 8 And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.

  11. 10. Let Your Strength come from the Lord! • I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. • Vs. 14-18 ~ Thanks for being there for me! • God often answers prayer through fellow brethren

  12. Results: • Fruit Abounds to your account! • a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God. • God shall supply all your need v.19 • To our God and Father be glory • The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
