  4. Yanked (v.) To pull. Pretend to grab something out of the air.

  5. Fastened (v.) To button. Pretend to fasten a button on your shirt.

  6. Maria looked around the store. There were all kinds of things that would look good in her bedroom. She wanted her room to look like a palace. Maria’s mother told her that there were some sale items downstairs. Maria began dashing towards the escalator. When she got downstairs she saw a beautiful purple lamp. She yanked it off the shelf. As she walked to the counter she fastened the last button on her coat. “I can’t wait to use my new lamp,” she said.
