  3. New Classic 8 Conference • Classic 8 Conference replaces MAYLA for HS boys and girls. • Lacrosse is still a “Club Sport” but will align with all WIAA rules and by-laws. • League is managed by a board of 5 Athletic Directors. • The BOD will communicate with ALL high school AD’s to help gain that school’s support of Lacrosse. • There will be a league commissioner in charge of schedules. • Post season All-Conference awards will be given to recognized players based on conference game statistics. There will be a end of year meeting with the BOD, league commissioner and coaches to determine player selection. • Overall objective for this change is to be able to push toward having Lacrosse recognized as a WIAA sport. • The Milwaukee C8 Conference is the only league in the state governed by a BOD and a commissioner.

  4. Team Alignments • Lakeshore Teams – 1 Varsity and 1 JV: • Agreement with the new Ozaukee JV team. • All current Lakeshore players on Varsity and JV teams that are attending Ozaukee County high schools would be “grandfathered” and would continue to play for Lakeshore. • Ozaukee County HS players who started playing in 2010 and 2011 would continue to play with Lakeshore through the 2014 season. This would allow freshman who started playing with Lakeshore in 2011 to remain with the team through their senior season. • All Ozaukee County HS students who are new freshman or sophomore players would play for Ozaukee JV. • All Ozaukee County HS students who are new juniors or senior players would play for Lakeshore with the opportunity to play Varsity. • All other players outside the Northshore school districts that want to play lacrosse for Lakeshore must be approved • by the C8 BOD. • The objective after 2014 is to have only student/athletes from SHS, WFB and NHS supporting the Lakeshore Lacrosse Team. Lakeshore is • using the WNS Hockey program as the model.

  5. Team Alignments • JV Team • Coaches – Lann Ellis, Clarke Warren and Ross Bjella • Players will be placed on the JV team after the first 2 team placement practices held in March. • Seniors are not eligible to play JV and will play Varsity. • JV and Varsity will practice together for the 1st three weeks in March. • JV coaches will prepare players for advancement to Varsity with consistent Lakeshore program training. • JV players will have an opportunity to move up to Varsity based on performance. • The JV Team will play in the post season C8 playoffs. Teams will be seeded according to regular season records. • Varsity Team • Coaches – Terry Combs, Morgan Tremper, Tom Gough • Players will be placed on the Varsity team after the first 2 team placement practices held in March. • The Varsity roster will be fluid and other than senior players some players could be moved to JV based on JV team needs. • The Varsity Team will play in the post season state tournament based on • WLF seeding’s.
