  1. Norma JeaneMortenson (Marilyn Monroe) By: Clay Murry

  2. Birth Marilyn Monroe, born Norma JeaneMortenson, was born on June 1st, 1926. In Las Angeles, California.

  3. Early Years • Before Norma Jeane was Marilyn Monroe, she modeled for certain companies. She also took a few “artistic” pictures for money when she was broke.

  4. The Birth Of An Icon; Marilyn Monroe The first well received movie Monroe played in was called The “Asphalt Jungle” made in 1950. Her “Dumb Blonde” characters were in such movies as, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, How To Mary a Millionaire, Some Like It Hot, and The Seven Year Itch. In real life, when Marilyn wasn’t on screen acting stupid, she was an extremely smart, fast reacting person. “She can definitely hold her own in a political Argument.” stated Peter Lawford, friend of Monroe’s The very famous scene from The Seven Year Itch, 1955. Did you know: Norma Jeanechanged her name to Marilyn Monroe, because it wasn’t Hollywood enough? The First name came from actress, Marilyn Miller, and she took her mother’s name, Monroe.

  5. Death Marilyn Monroe, died of a suspected O.D. on August 5th, 1962, in her small home in Brentwood, Las Angeles, California. She was only 36 when she died. Since her death, there has been a lot of contemplation, suicide, or murder? Many people believe Monroe was Murdered, because when her stomach was pumped, there was a very little amount of Chloral Hydrate, or Nembutal (the drug suspected to be used in the overdose) in her stomach, barely enough to overdose on. Many people think that she committed suicide because she had already overdosed on sleeping pills many times before, why not again? Marilyn Monroe’s Bedroom, after her death.

  6. Marilyn Monroe quotes and facts: "I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together." —Marilyn Monroe Every night, she loved to put drugs in a glass of wine. She had a terrible drug addiction, which was a suspicion of her death. "I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best." — Marilyn Monroe "If you can make a girl laugh, you can make her do anything." — Marilyn Monroe Marilyn Monroe had 10 toes. The rumor about her having an extra toe is false. "If you're gonna be two-faced at least make one of them pretty." — Marilyn Monroe Shoe size: 7-7 ½ Bust, waiste, hips:26, 24, 34 Height:5’5 and ½ Weight:117 (based on when she died "Women who seek to be equal with men lack ambition." — Marilyn Monroe She would rinse her face 15 times after every wash.

  7. "This life is what you make it. Not matter what, you're going to mess up sometimes, it's a universal truth. But the good part is you get to decide how you're going to mess it up. Girls will be your friends - they'll act like it anyway. But just remember, some come, some go. The ones that stay with you through everything - they're your true best friends. Don't let go of them. Also remember, sisters make the best friends in the world. As for lovers, well, they'll come and go too. And babe, I hate to say it, most of them - actually pretty much all of them are going to break your heart, but you can't give up because if you give up, you'll never find your soul mate. You'll never find that half who makes you whole and that goes for everything. Just because you fail once, doesn't mean you're gonna fail at everything. Keep trying, hold on, and always, always, always believe in yourself, because if you don't, then who will, sweetie? So keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life's a beautiful thing and there's so much to smile about." — Marilyn Monroe I like this quote because it is all about life and how amazing it is. It makes me wonder how someone who said something like this could even think about suicide.

  8. Why Marilyn Monroe? I picked Marilyn Monroe for three main reasons. -she was misunderstood -She died mysteriously -and she is one of the historic people I love to research on. My background knowledge on her helped out in the research too. -She is a woman that only accepts the best qualities in life.
