  3. WHAT IS TRAFFIC ? Whoever uses the road carriage way for socio-economic, cultural and business activities from one place to other is called as “TRAFFIC”. Like : Pedestrian, Cycles, Bullock carts, cars, two/three-wheelers etc.

ENGINEERING EFFORTS TO BE MADE BY VISAKHAPATNAM COMMISSIONERATE AND DISTRICT POLICE TOWARDS ENGINEERING IMPROVEMENTS IN CONNECTION WITH TRAFFIC • Important Intersections have to be physically surveyed and improvement plans have to be prepared and have to give to various implementing agencies like Local Municipalities, R&B, NH,VUDA etc. for necessary action • Accident Prone Locations to be identified Police Station wise and the required safety appliances to be identified. • Police Station wise, various critical junctions to be identified and conceptual plans for traffic aids like signages, signals, markings and delineators to be prepared along with estimates
