  3.  1- How far was Jerusalem from Bethlehem? 6 miles

  4.  2- Even the most religious can miss Jesus if they’re not careful. True

  5.  3- If you are a particular religion (Catholic, Baptist etc) that will get you into heaven. False

  6.  4- The Torah is the first five books in the Bible

  7. 6 - Knowledge is good, but at some point we have to personally believe and practice the truth

  8. 7- The religious leaders’ knowledge made them intellectually lazy.

  9. 8 - The religious leaders’ religion made them spiritually indifferent

  10. 9 - The religious leaders’ background made them culturally arrogant

  11. 10 - What distance, person, deficiency, situation, habit, pain, circumstance is keeping you from Jesus this Christmas?

  13. Matthew 2:1-2 1  “Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, 2 saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.”

  14. Matthew 2:3-4 3  “When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. 4 And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born”

  15. Matthew 2:5-6 5  “So they said to him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for thus it is written by the prophet: 6 ‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, Are not the least among the rulers of Judah; For out of you shall come a Ruler Who will shepherd My people Israel” .
