  1. Luke 1 & 2; Matthew 1

  2. Introduction As I had been reading the account about the Birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, I was asking myself how can I share this story in a different way. One time as I was reading it again, I realized that you do not have to tell the story differently. You just have to tell it the way it happened.

  3. Introduction • As I had been reading the • Account about the Birth of the Lord • JesusChrist, I was asking myself • how can I share this story in a • different way.One time as I was • reading it again, I realized that you • do not have to tell the story • differently. You just have to tell it • the way it happened.

  4. Introduction • Looking at the story the way it happened would allow us to see one obvious truth. That God was entirely in control of everything. God in his sovereignty oversaw that things will happen the way He designed them.

  5. The word sovereign comes from the • Latinword super. It conveys the idea of • superior and supreme, primary and • paramount, unequaled and unexcelled. The • God of the Bible is eternal and self-existent. • He is supreme in excellence and perfect in • all His ways. He is the one and only • autonomist, self-contained and self • controlled, with the right and power of self • government. God is infinite in His imperial • independence. His capacities and • capabilities far surpass the scope of human • reasons.
