  21. Step #4: Put it in Writing -Job description -Recruitment/orientation materials -Board policies Recruit accordingly… and …Avoid exceptions!

  22. Step #5: Tell Them -Before the vote -Before their first meeting -Ongoing reminders -Anytime there’s a change Energy begets energy…no apologies!

  23. Step #6: Educate Them -Role as fiduciary -Give and/or get policy -Expectations -Importance of 100% board giving -About fundraising strategies -How to engage/ask
