  2. Krishna

  3. Krishna: The main character • The name comes from an individual who was in the Mahabharata. • It usually has to do a child(boy), youthful prince, prankster, or divine hero. • He was one of ten avatars for the God Vishnu. • He is worshipped in many forms such as Vasudeva, Bala Krishna, Gopala, Krishnaism, and SvayamBhagavan. • He is usually portrayed being young and always having a golden flute with him.

  4. Arjuna

  5. Arjuna: A warrior prince • He was considered to be one of the greatest warriors on Earth in the Mahabharata. • He was one of the five pandavas in the war of Kurukshetra. • The name means white, silver, bright, or shining. • He was an unbeaten archer that was ambidextrous. • He was the 3rd son of the gods Indra and Kunti.

  6. Hanuman

  7. Hanuman: King/God of Monkeys • He was in the epic “Ramayana”, and was a general among the Vanaras; an ape-like race. • He was an incarnation of the Lord Rama. • He wielded a weapon called an akrisae(mace). • He is well know for being a prime diety in temples called Hanuman Mandris.

  9. Brahma: Creator of human beings • Considered the god of creation and grandsire of all human beings. • He is part of the Trimurti alongside Vishnu and Shiva. • He is the father of Manu, from whom all human being descended from.

  10. Vishnu

  11. Vishnu: Maintainer of the Universe • Considered the most important god of all Hinduism. • He is part of the Trimurti alongside Shiva and Brahma. • He looks over the entire universe and everything in it. • He has an iconic skin color of blue and white with four arms. • Each arm holds an important artifact. • He has ten avatars, the most well known are Rama and Krishna.

  13. Shiva: Destroyer of the Universe • A god among the Trimurti with Vishnu and Brahma. • A major practitioner of yoga; he is commonly portrayed performing yoga or dances. • He is the destroyer of all evil and sorrow. • He watches over everything in the world and is considered the main aspect of life. • He supposedly lives/lived in Mount Krisha.

  14. Sanjaya

  15. Sanjaya: Presenter of BhagavadGita • He was in the Mahabharata. • He was the blind king Dhritarashtra’s advisor and charioteer. • He was the ability to see events from long distances and tells the blind king what happens during the battle of Kurukshetra.

  16. Dhritarashtra

  17. Dhritarashtra: Story told to him • The king of Hastinapur in the Kurukshetra war in the Mahabharata. • He was born blind. • Became father of 100 children with his wife Gandhari. • He was the uncle of the five Pandavas.
