  1. Because God Has Changed Me… Hebrews 10:32-34

  2. Scripture Reading Hebrews 10:32-34 (NIV) 32 Remember those earlier days after you had received the light, when you stood your ground in a great contest in the face of suffering. 33 Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated. 34 You sympathized with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions.

  3. Point # 1 God changed me by opening my mind to spiritual things. 32 Remember those earlier days after you had received the light…

  4. Point # 2 God changed me by giving me the strength to hang in there when I feel like giving up. …when you stood your ground in a great contest in the face of suffering.

  5. Point # 3 God changed me by giving me the courage to stand next to my brother or my sister and to be counted in the battle even though it originally was not my battle to fight. 33 Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated.

  6. Point # 4 God changed me by giving me a deep concern about those whose life situation is not as fortunate as mind. You sympathized with those in prison…

  7. Point # 5 God changed me by giving me a different attitude then I formerly had when things did not go my way because He gave me a whole new perspective.…joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions.

  8. Conclusion As I look back over my Christian life I have had some moments of brilliance when I acted like a Christian ought to act. It was those times that I was a great role model to myself. My question to myself is: Are those moments of brilliance fewer and further between now then they were back then?
