  2. 1999-Topsy Turvy • The director is Mike Leigh, Cast- Jim Broadbent, Allan Cordurer and the genre is Biography/ Drama. • It tells the background story of the creation of Gilbert and Sullivans The mikado in 1884-1885. The film focuses on the creative conflict between author and composer, and the momentous decision that the two men made to continue their partnership which led to the creation of several more famous savoy operas between them.

  3. 2000-Snatch • Director- Guy Ritchie, Cast- Jason Statham, Stephen Graham, Brad Pitt, Genre- Heist thriller. • It is set in London and the movie contains two intertwined plots- one dealing with the search for a stolen diamond, the other with a small time boxing promoter named turkish who finds himself under the thumbs of psychotic gangster named Brick Top.

  4. 2002- 28 Days Later • Director- Danny Boyle, Cast- Cillian Murphy, Naomie Harris, Christopher Eccleston, genre- Horror • It set in Great Britain, the story depicts the breakdown of society following the accidental release of a highly contagious virus and focuses upon the struggle of four survivors to cope with the ruination of the life they once knew.

  5. 2004- Shaun of the Dead • Director- Edgar Wright, Cast- Simon Pegg, Kate Ashfield, Nick Frost, Genre- Horror/Comedy. • The plot focuses on Shaun, an unmotivated young man who is attempting to get some kind of focus in his life as he reconciles with his ex-girlfriend and settles his various issues with his mother and stepfather. At the same time he was to cope with an apocalyptic uprising of zombies that is causing society to collapse.

  6. 2006- A Cock and Bull Story • Director- Michael Winterbottom, Cast- Steve Coogan, Rob Brydon, Keeley Hawes, Genre- Comedy. • The story depicts Steve Coogan playing himself as an egotistical actor with low self esteem and a complicated love life.

  7. 2007-Sunshine • Director- Danny Boyle, Cast- Cillian Murphy, cliff Curtis, Rose Byrne, Chris Evans, genre- Science Fiction. • Film set in 2057, follows the crew of a spacecraft equipped with a pay load to re-ignite our dying Sun, which threatens earth.
