Why does EDGeS need OGF PGI ?EDGeS current implementation : Ad Hoc New FP7 project started on 01/01/2008 • Integrate Service Grids and Desktop Grids • Enable very large number of computing resources (100K-1M processors) • Attract new scientific communities • Provide a Grid application develop-ment environment • Provide application repository and bridges for the execution in the SG-DG system EDGeS 3G Bridge Boinc (Berkeley) gLite (EGEE) Queue Manager&  Job DB VOMS proxy Boinc Plugin XtremWeb (INRIA/IN2P3) GLUE 1.3 XtremWeb Plugin WMS API LB API APEL GRAM JDL Now in full production SRM GridFTP Author : Etienne Urbah
