  1. Best Treatment for Glaucoma Types of Glaucoma & its Symptoms: There are two types of Glaucoma: 1.Chronic Open-angle Glaucoma –The drainage angle of the eye becomes less efficient and pressure within eye can damage to the optic nerve. In early stages, vision remains normal. These blank spot won’t be notice in day-to-day activities until these spots become large. There are no symptoms in this type of glaucoma. 2.Closed-angle Glaucoma –Some eyes are formed with the iris too close to the drainage angle. The iris may be sucked into the drainage angle and block it completely. Since the fluid cannot exit the eye, pressure inside the eye builds rapidly and it causes a closed-angle attack. The symptoms may include Blurred vision, severe eye pain and Rainbow – colored halos around lights. The most common risk factors for Glaucoma include elevated eye pressure, family history of glaucoma, past eye injuries.

  2. There are various types of Glaucoma treatment are available that used to help prevent further damage and vision loss. ➢Medication Treatment: In this treatment, patient need to take daily eye drops. It will decrease the amount of aqueous fluid produced within the eye or improve the flow through the drainage angle. ➢Laser Surgery Treatment: In open-angle Glaucoma, the laser is used to modify the drain and control the eye pressure. In closed- angle Glaucoma, the laser will creates a hole in the iris to improve the flow of aqueous fluid to the drain. ➢Eye Surgery: In this surgery, Ophthalmologist will use fine microsurgical instruments to create a new drainage channel for the aqueous fluid to leave the eye.
