  3. LMS Mission Statement • The mission of LaVergne Middle School is to enable all students to achieve excellence in learning, social responsibility, and self worth and to improve in these each academic year.

  4. V.I.Ps of LMS • Mr. Holman: Principal • Mrs. Hibbler: Assistant Principal • Mr. Martin: Assistant Principal • Dean Joyce : 8th Grade Dean • Ms. Stuart: Secretary • Nurse Martin: School Nurse • Officer Drain: SRO

  5. Where do I go? • 8A or 8B Classes • Electives • Cafeteria • Gym • Bathroom????

  6. What is an agenda? • YOUR LIFELINE!!! • Make sure you write your name in the front!!!!!!!!!!! • Hall Passes • NO AGENDA=NO EXIT (no passes)

  7. DRESS CODE • No sunglasses • No flip-flops • No sagging-wear a belt • A BELT must be worn • No coats • No medallions, beads, or long necklaces

  8. Backpacks/Purses • ONLY string backpacks • No totes or backpacks with zippers • Girls: If you can fit a textbook in your purse, it is TOO BIG!!!! Put it in your locker!

  9. LUNCH • Cafeteria Rules: • Sit down, stay down • No talking to other tables • Have a question?=Raise your hand

  10. What is my lunch number? • If you don’t remember, look at your class schedule sheet!!! • Remember, WALK QUIETLY to and from the cafeteria.

  11. What is Advisory? • A period where you learn about your friends and your advisory teacher. • You still follow the rules in Advisory!!!!!

  12. How will I leave school? • Make sure you are SILENT during dismissal. • If you ride a bus or walk leave from the front of the building • If you ride in a car leave from the back doors by the cafeteria

  13. What is the MASH schedule? Mondays= MATH Tuesdays= LANGUAGE ARTS Wednesdays= SCIENCE Thursdays= SOCIAL STUDIES Fridays= READING

  14. Hallway Behavior • Stay to the RIGHT • WALK • NO yelling • Only 1 person in a locker

  15. Consequences • 1. Warning • 2. Mini-School Detention • 3. Mini-School Isolation • 4. Dean Referral • 8th Grade=Dean Joyce
