SKM SOFTWARE • SKM Software is used for creating ARC Flash labels • The current version is: (6.5.2.7 Build 2) • An arc flash is an electric arc which can occur when there is sufficient voltage in an electrical system and a path to ground or lower voltage. • An arc flash with 1000 amps or more can cause substantial damage, fire or injury. The massive energy released in the fault rapidly vaporizes the metal conductors involved, blasting molten metal and expanding plasma outward with extreme force.

PRINTING FROM SKM • BRADY TECH SUPPORT CAN ASSIST WITH: • SELECTING THE PROPER SIZE TEMPLATE • THE PRINT FUNCTION OF SKM SOFTWARE • CONFIGURING THE BRADY PRINT DRIVER • THE ONLY BRADYPRINTERS SUPPORTED ARE : • IP’s, PR+’s, GLOBALMARKS • BBP31 & MINIMARK ARE CURRENTLY NOT SUPPORTED FOR USE WITH SKM SOFTWARE

  3. CURRENT VERSIONS OF SKM SOFTWARE OPEN WITH THIS SCREEN

  4. START BY CLICKING RUN ON THE TOOLBAR

  5. SELECT ARC FLASH EVALUATION

  6. THIS IS THE NEXT SCREEN YOU WILL SEE

  7. CLICK ON CUSTOM LABEL

  8. THIS IS THE NEXT SCREEN YOU WILL SEE

  9. CLICK THE DROP DOWN LIST TO VIEW DIFFERENT LABEL TYPES

  10. THT PART NUMBERS ARE FOR USE WITH THE IP & PR+ PRINTERS GLOBALMARK LABELS SHOW GLOBALMARK

  11. SELECT THE DESIRED LABEL

  12. YOU WILL SEE A PREVIEW OF YOUR SELECTED LABEL CLICK ON “DESIGNER”

  13. USE THE DESIGNER SCREEN TO VERIFY PAGE SIZE, LABEL SIZE & ORIENTATION SIZE MUST MATCH THE INSTALLED LABEL CLICK “OK” AFTER SETUP IS COMPLETE

  14. YOU CAN NOW SELECT PRINT

  15. SELECT CONTINUE TO PRINT

  16. THE PRINT SCREEN NOW COMES UP CLICK THE DROP DOWN LIST TO SELECT THE BRADY PRINTER TO USE

  17. ONCE THE PRINTER IS SELECTED CLICK THE PROPERTIES BUTTON

  18. CLICK PAPER SIZE: PROPERTIESTO VERIFY THE SIZE SETTINGS

  19. FOR THT PRINTERS PAPER SIZE = USER SENSOR TYPE = GAPPED GAP SPACE = 0.1 Inches PAPER WIDTH & HEIGHT SHOULD MATCH THE DIMENSIONS OF THE LABEL INSTALLED IN THE PRINTER

  20. FOR THT PRINTERS TAPE TYPE = THERMAL TRANSFER PRINT SPEED = 2 INCH DENSITY = 0-10 PRINT MODE = TEAR OFF

  21. FOR GLOBALMARK PRINTERS SELECT THE GLOBALMARK THEN CLICK ON PROPERTIES

  22. FOR GLOBALMARK PRINTERS SET ORIENTATION TO LANDSCAPE IF ADVANCED TAB IS AT THE TOP = SELECT IT IF ADVANCED BUTTON IS AT BOTTOM= SELECT IT

  23. FOR GLOBALMARK PRINTERS CLICK ON PAPER SIZE THEN CLICK ON PROPERTIES

  24. FOR GLOBALMARK PRINTERS TAPE SIZE MUST MATCH WHATS INSTALLED IN THE PRINTER SET THE DOCUMENT LENGTH TO YOUR DESIRED LENGTH AFTER MAKING CHANGES, CLICK OK TO CLOSE OUT OF PROPERTIES

  25. SELECT “OK” TO PRINT
