  2. Uses Twitter to communicate with customers almost every day. • Respond to questions concerning: • Products • Store openings/locations • Not only answers questions, they have a conversation with their customers. It has a more personal feel to the responses. • On the sidebar, there are links to find store locations near you or where you can go to suggest a new store.

  3. Also share cooking and health tips through Twitter. • Follows about 600,000 people. • Very accessible through the Whole Foods Web site. • Did not push messages onto customers. • Is reflective of company culture. • For Whole Foods, Twitter is sustainable.

  4. Updates Twitter almost every day. • Tweets about new products, product details, sales (Mother’s Day) and job openings. • Less conversation than Whole Foods. But still sticks with culture of American Apparel. • Tweets about legalizing LA and Arizona and and Immigration Reform. • Gay Rights

  5. Rarely responds to customers on Twitter. • “London Rummage Sale”-- tweeted apologies and discounts to those in the U.K. • Has a link to Twitter on AA Web site, but is not easily found.
