  4. Diversity in the Classroom • If population within the United States is this diverse, why aren’t there children’s books that are representative being used within classrooms?

  5. Being able to read and write serves as more than just a way to achieve success and social mobility.

  6. Advantages of Multicultural Literature • Creates Cultural Awareness and emphasizes cultural authenticity • Improves Self Concept • Promotes Understanding Among Cultures
