Pros Lots of working modules already available Lots of documentation and how-to's available Currently its almost all any body is using Cons Media is a second class citizen  Less work is going to be put into new features Pros Media is a first class citizen Will be maintained for longer Cutting edge features will likely be developed in D7 Cons Currently some modules have no D7 port Fewer sites built with D7, less community support Drupal 6 vs Drupal 7
