Hastings Ward:IOM OVERVIEW

VISION –

To increase confidence in the work of the criminal justice system and it’s partners by building upon existing arrangements to provide a strategic framework that will ensure the effective interagency management of those offenders who pose the greatest risk of harm to communities, regardless of whether or not the individual is subject to formal supervision arrangements

  • Aims:

  • We will develop:

  • The capability and capacity to allow multi agency assessment and information sharing, allowing agencies to increase the speed at which risk triggers are responded to.

  • The means to identify, categorise and prioritise offenders according to agreed criteria.

  • An agreed process for identifying a lead agency in each case.

  • An approach based on co-ordinated planning of resources for each case, related to both enforcement and problem solving, targeted on a scaled approach.

  • A means of improving engagement with offenders, particularly those who are not subject to formal supervision arrangements.

  • New ways of working to achieve efficiency savings

  • Our approach to communicating with communities to enhance the visibility of the work that we are doing to manage risk and repair the harm
