  2. Koalas Environment: • Koalas environments contain only trees. Koalas stay in trees during any type of weather they do not take any other shelter. They have extra thick hair on the back of their neck and shoulders for protection from any weather. Koalas name: Koalas got there name from the Aboriginal word "gula“ which means “no drink”. Koalas don’t drink water they get there water from leaves. The zoo did not name them. • Koala Diet: • A koalas diet is mostly made up of eucalyptus leaves. Occasionally they will eat gum leaves, tea tree, paperbark, and wattle. Koalas are herbivores. • Koalas Length and Weight: • A koalas length is 24-32 inches(Males are larger than Females). A koala can weigh 8 to 28 pounds. • Koalas live in Australia. • Koalas Personality: • Koalas sleep 18-20 hours a day. Koalas aren’t generally social animals. But they do live in colonies with a dominant male koala. Koala (Phascolarctoscinereus, scientific name) • The koalas plaques height is 7 inches and the width is 8 inches. The area of the plaque is 56 square inches.
