  6. Resume • A written summary of your education, work, experience, credentials, and accomplishments and is used to apply for scholarships and jobs.

  8. Panel An interview conducted by more than one individual. The number of panelists vary. Phone Used to screen candidates in order to narrow the pool of applicants who will be invited for in-person interviews

  12. Letters of Recommendation • Carefully choose recommenders • Give them enough time • Always provide description of scholarship and resume • Follow up if needed • Always thank them

  14. Read the Requirements • While the Scholarships may look similar, each may require something different. • Scholarship sponsors will not consider your application if you don’t satisfy the prerequisites
